When should I book a service call?

You should book a service call if you have noticed a change in the pressure, quantity or quality of your hot water. If there are problems with your gas pilot light, please give us a call immediately.

How do I know the make and model of my hot water unit?

Most hot water units have a compliance plate or sticker. For electric storage units this will usually be located at the top of the cylinder, while gas units usually have this located on the back of the service panel.

Can you dispose of my old hot water system?

Yes. In the case of replacement installations we can dispose of the old hot water system.

What is off peak electric hot water?

Off peak electric hot water is heated during specific times of the day and night, and is charged at a discounted rate. This option is suitable on larger capacity electric storage systems.

If your cylinder is leaking, or there is a consistent flow of hot water from the relief valve, you should book a service call.

What is a Tempering Valve?

A tempering valve mixes hot and cold water to deliver water at a safe temperature to the home.

What is a relief valve?

Temperature/ Pressure relief Valves are safety devices designed to release water in the event that pressure or temperature in the hot water cylinder exceeds safe levels.

Do I need a Tempering Valve?

The plumbing code of Australia requires all new heated water installations to be fitted with one, with a delivery temperature not exceeding 50 degrees. Kitchens and laundries are exempt from this requirement.
